Hi and welcome to episode 159 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

SAP began the week by announcing major financial results for the third quarter ended September 30th, 2024. Total revenue was up 9% to approximately 8.5 billion euros, with cloud revenue up 25% to about 4.4 billion euros. SAP also boasts a current cloud backlog of around 15.4 billion euros, an increase of 25%. SAP continues to see significant growth as well as expect momentum in the quarters to come.

Acumatica followed with the long-anticipated launch of its new Professional Services Edition, built to enable small and midsized professional services firms to increase efficiency and accelerate growth. The Professional Services Edition supports critical processes for firms where project-based accounting, resource management, and optimization are essential for success. The company’s core offerings include resource management, CRM, project planning, and scheduling, plus accounting, time, and expense management. This is another step toward developing and expanding their industry-specific suite of solutions.

In related, industry-specific news, ECI announced the launch of two new add-on solutions for its Manufacturing ERP products – ECI Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ECI Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS), both powered by LYNQ. These solutions will soon be available for Deacom, M1, JobBOSS2, and Macola ERP platforms. The addition of ECI MES and APS provides improved automation and advanced features, including visual planning, real-time data collection, and flexible scheduling. With ECI MES and APS, customers will be able to access even deeper functionality with their existing solutions.

Following the manufacturing news, QAD closed its acquisition of Phenix Software Inc. to help manufacturers improve productivity and accelerate factory performance. The solution, now called QAD Advanced Scheduling, optimizes production decisions by determining what products to make on each production line in the best possible sequence to minimize changeovers, optimize inventory, and align cost and service goals. Once again, QAD is bringing more advanced solutions to their customers.

Finally, IFS unveiled new IFS.ai-powered features being introduced in the IFS Cloud 24R2 focusing on delivering maximum value to asset and service-intensive industries and elevating the user experience to drive industrial AI adoption at scale. New feature highlights include Home, a new, dynamic, AI-powered homepage for IFS providing live project status visibility, IFS.ai Copilot’s updates to provide deeper insights from across the organization, plus IFS.ai Copilot for FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, Criticality Analysis), new Manufacturing Scheduling Optimization (MSO) Simulation capability, and much more. IFS customers can continue to expect more AI embedded throughout their applications.
