Hi and welcome to episode 158 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Infor began the week by announcing significant platform technology updates to its industry-specific CloudSuite portfolio on Day One of the company’s 2024 Infor Velocity Summit. Key updates of Infor’s October release include turning conversations into business clarity with new GenAI Assistant and additional embedded experiences, providing accelerated visibility into business processes with Infor Process Mining, helping customers stay on top of new compliance regulations with new modules for ESG Strategy Management and Execution, and industry-specific supply chain management enhancements that help improve supply chain accuracy, reduce manual intervention, and speed time to value. Infor’s updates will enable customers to more efficiently and effectively deliver through more enriching, industry-specific applications.

Then, Acumatica Cloud ERP unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 R2 product. The 2024 R2 update includes the controlled release of Acumatica’s new User Interface (UI), previewed initially at Summit 2024, allowing users to personalize and simplify screen layouts across their team, making everyday tasks more intuitive and collaborative. Additionally, Acumatica introduced integration with general inquiry functionality that enables users to leverage AI to identify exceptions or anomalies in transaction reviews, bringing a new level of insight into data management. The new release also brings key enhancements to each of Acumatica’s Industry Editions, including Construction, Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail, and General Business. Major product enhancements made by Acumatica in this release will allow customers to more intuitively harness the power of their applications.

In other news, Microsoft Corp. and Rezolve AI, a leader in AI-powered commerce solutions, announced a strategic partnership to empower retailers with advanced capabilities for digital engagement. Through this collaboration, Rezolve AI’s Brain Suite – including Brain Commerce, Brain Checkout, and Brain Assistant – will be powered by Microsoft Azure and available globally via Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace and co-sell channels. This partnership will extend the reach of Rezolve AI through Microsoft’s distribution channels while enabling Microsoft to deliver greater customer engagement and operations for retail customers.

In acquisition news, Epicor announced it has acquired Solenium Group Inc. and its sister company Visual SKUs Inc., both long-standing Epicor partners and providers of Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions for the Automotive Aftermarket. Epicor will use this acquisition to strengthen its catalog, and ecommerce offers for a more comprehensive, cohesive experience. Companies and customers in the Automotive Aftermarket will be able to use these solutions to more efficiently locate and purchase the parts they need, when they need them.

Finally, Sage is enhancing its supply chain software capabilities by acquiring Anvyl, a New York-based technology firm focused on the high-growth $20 billion supply chain software sector. With this acquisition, Anvyl’s end-to-end supply chain software will allow Sage to deliver a cost-effective Supply Chain Execution (SCE) solution that provides SMBs with complete visibility across their entire supply chains, from purchase order creation to warehouse delivery. Anvyl’s offerings deliver clarity to businesses operating in the supply chain who may have otherwise had restricted insights or control.
