Hi and welcome to episode 156 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

This was an exciting week of innovation in the world of AI, with announcements from Workday, Microsoft, Blackbaud, and Salesforce.

First, Workday announced Illuminate, the next generation of Workday AI. Illuminate will help businesses increase productivity and improve cost savings through accelerating common tasks with generative AI, delivering real-time AI assistance in the flow of work through Workday Assist, and transforming entire business processes with AI orchestration. Following the Illuminate announcement, Workday announced that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Evisort, an AI-native document intelligence platform. With Evisort, Workday will add AI-powered document intelligence solutions across its finance and HR suite.

Then, BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Microsoft, and MGX announced the Global Infrastructure Investment Partnership (GAIIP) to make investments in new and expanded data centers to meet growing demand for computing power, as well as energy infrastructure to create new sources of power for these facilities. NVIDIA will support GAIIP, offering its expertise in AI data centers and AI factories to benefit the AI ecosystem.

Next, Blackbaud announced deeper integration of Microsoft AI and analytics into their purpose-built software for unique business operations of social impact organizations – without the need for costly customizations. By integrating Microsoft Fabric in its architecture to unify data sources, Blackbaud can enable new capabilities like comprehensive productivity dashboards designed for the unique needs of their customers.

Finally, in AI news, Salesforce and NVIDIA announced a strategic collaboration to develop advanced AI capabilities for the enterprise with autonomous agent and interactive avatar experiences. They will work together to deliver optimized predictive and generative AI workflows by bringing together the NVIDIA platform with the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce.

AI is continuing to advance across the entire software landscape, whether through development, partnerships, or acquisitions. Vendors are intertwining their efforts more than ever to deliver the next generation of technology.

The week ended with ECI when the company announced a new integration of its EvolutionX, its B2B ecommerce platform, with e-automate, its cloud-based business management ERP software. This integration provides office technology dealers with a fully customizable ecommerce platform featuring real-time data to improve the online shopping experience for their customers. ECI is delivering an even better user experience to those wanting to do more with their system to service customers.
