Hi and welcome to episode 155 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

It was an action-packed week as Oracle CloudWorld and SuiteWorld took to Las Vegas! Following the conferences, both vendors documented the major announcements made during event keynotes.

NetSuite announced a series of new product updates and AI innovations across the suite to help organizations increase efficiency and accelerate growth. The latest innovations include AI updates embedded across the suite, the release of NetSuite SuiteProcurement, NetSuite’s new connector for Salesforce, expanded AI capabilities for NetSuite Analytics Warehouse & NetSuite EPM, the release of the AI-powered NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro, and much more. For a deeper dive into SuiteWorld 2024, be on the lookout for EAG’s special guide that will be released across all our media channels very soon.

Simultaneously, Oracle was busy making major data and AI-related announcements, alongside its new partnership with AWS.

First, Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of Oracle Database@AWS, a new offering that allows customers to access Oracle Autonomous Database on dedicated infrastructure and Oracle Exadata Database Service within AWS. This offering delivers a unified experience between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.

Then, Oracle announced plans to deliver Oracle Intelligent Data Lake as a foundational component of the Oracle Data Intelligence Platform. Organizations can more easily use data from diverse sources in a unified experience by combining orchestration, data warehouses, analytics, and AI—all within the Oracle Data Intelligence Platform, powered by OCI.

Finally, Oracle announced new AI capabilities within the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to extend the comprehensive generative AI capabilities already embedded across the suite. The latest AI innovations include more than 50 new AI agents and a range of AI capabilities that assist with authoring, advice, and recommended actions.

Announcements like these from Oracle and NetSuite demonstrate the commitment in the market to bring us into a new era of technological advancement. We expect to continue to see major leaps forward for technology across the market.

Following the technology hype, Qlik announced new enhancements to its AutoML capabilities. These updates will make it easier for analytics teams to build and deploy high-performing machine learning models, providing native analytics to explain predictions in real-time. The focus is on user experience and with these enhancements, customers will be able to more effectively utilize their tools without common obstacles.

In other news, Certinia announced the general availability of Certinia Customer Success (CS) Cloud. With the combined power of CS Cloud and Certinia’s Professional Services (PS) Cloud solutions, both built natively on the Salesforce platform, users can orchestrate success across the entire customer lifecycle. Core capabilities include monitoring customer success performance, managing success plans and value objectives, streamlining playbook management, optimizing resource management, and more. Industry-specific solutions like Customer Success Cloud will enable businesses to reimagine how they do business through a more customized experience.

To round out the week, ECI announced the completion of its acquisition of Khameleon Software, a cloud-based ERP software company supporting the unique needs of project-based dealers as ECI plans to expand its offerings to commercial furniture dealer and system integrator businesses. Once again, industry-specific solutions are becoming the focus creating a more unique, effective experience for customers.
