Hi and welcome to episode 153 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

Workday kicked off the week by announcing results for the fiscal 2025 second quarter ended July 31st, 2024. Total revenues were about $2.09 billion, an increase of 16.7%, with subscription revenues at about $1.9 billion, an increase of $17.2% from the same period last year. These are major results from Workday who continues to strengthen its hold in the market with new solutions and partnerships.

Infor made a major announcement with the selection of Amazon Bedrock, a service for building and scaling generative applications, to deploy GenAI solutions embedded within Infor CloudSuite. This selection deepens Infor’s 11-year relationship with AWS, resulting in the creation of industry-specific use cases on AWS technology from Infor. Infor has done a lot with AWS to develop the latest and greatest within their technology stack, so it is no surprise Infor would deepen this partnership for the delivery of AI.

In other news, Deltek announced new enhancements to its purpose-built solutions for government contractors. These enhancements include the addition of functionality to Deltek’s AI-powered business companion, Dela, as well as several updates focused on the needs of aerospace and defense manufacturers, including greater convenience with the Costpoint App integration for Microsoft Teams, up-to-date compliance with government security requirements, and re-imagined time and expense features. Industry-specific functionality releases continue with this release from Deltek, who aims to deliver more to government contractors.

Finally, Aptean made two major announcements this week with the delivery of tailored AI embedded in its cloud-native Aptean Food & Beverage ERP and its acquisition of SSG Insight.

Aptean’s Food & Beverage ERP, built on Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, leverages advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze vast amounts of data, extract insights, and automate tasks. Key AI-driven features include updated sales documents utilizing customer transaction history, natural language to instruct AI on building analyses, mapped E-Documents, conversational language with an AI bot, forecasting, and much more.

Additionally, Aptean acquired SSG Insight, a provider of Enterprise Asset Management solutions, headquartered in Wakefield UK. This acquisition aims to increase Aptean’s EAM geographic footprint while bolstering the capabilities of Aptean’s cloud-based EAM offerings.

These announcements together demonstrate even more how Aptean is committed to extending the reach and functionality of their products, whether through acquisition or product development.
