Hi and welcome to episode 148 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
SAP began the week by announcing its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024. Total revenue was up 10% to approximately 8.29 billion Euros, with total cloud revenue up 25% at 4.15 billion Euros. Additionally, Cloud ERP suite revenue was up 33% to 3.41 billion Euros. These results further demonstrate SAP’s continuous momentum and extensive resources.
In global expansion-related news, Acumatica and NetSuite announced worldwide growth plans.
First, Acumatica expanded its long-time partnership with MYOB, an Australia-based software provider, delivering industry capabilities as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner and Acumatica Community support to help SMBs grow. In launching this new era together, MYOB has renamed its Australian and New Zealand-specific version of Acumatica Cloud ERP, MYOB Advanced, to MYOB Acumatica.
Then, NetSuite announced a series of new product innovations to help businesses in Japan optimize finance processes, expand insights, and increase efficiency. The latest updates include new generative AI, enterprise performance management (EPM) analytics, and manufacturing capabilities, as well as additional localizations for Japan.
Vendors who traditionally delivered value within the SMB space are focusing their efforts on global growth, exemplified by these advancements from Acumatica and NetSuite.
In other news, Microsoft published the 2024 release wave 2 plans for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform. These plans are a compilation of the new capabilities planned to be released between October 2024 and March 2025.
