Hi and welcome to episode 143 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.
Sage made a major announcement this week, launching Sage Distribution and Manufacturing Operations (SDMO) in the United States and South Africa. SDMO provides complete visibility and control of the purchasing, production, inventory, and sales processes of small to mid-sized distributors and discrete manufacturers. Capabilities include real-time materials resource planning, automation of core financial tasks, simplified complex product designs, enhanced distribution and supply chain operations, and optimized inventory and warehouse management. This is a huge step for Sage who had not traditionally offered specialized manufacturing solutions, allowing the vendor to break into new markets.
In other news, Oracle announced fiscal 2024 Q4 and full-year 2024 results. Total quarterly revenues were up 3% year-over-year to $14.3 billion. Cloud services and license support revenues were up 9% to $10.2 billion. Q4 NetSuite cloud ERP revenue was up 19% to $0.8 billion. Fiscal year 2024 total revenues were up 6% to $53.0 billion, with cloud services and license support revenues up 12% to $39.4 billion. Vendors continue to see the most growth in the mid-market through their cloud solutions and services, driving them to invest more and more in these spaces.
In acquisition news, Epicor announced it has acquired KYKLO, a provider of Product Information Management (PIM) and content-driven lead generation solutions to drive sales for manufacturers and distributors. The acquisition accelerates the delivery of Epicor’s AI-driven cognitive ERP vision to transform traditional ERP from a system of record to a system of insight and action. This acquisition will deliver deeper functionality to manufacturers and distributors looking to expand their sales strategies.
Related, IFS announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Copperleaf Technologies, Inc., a provider of AI-powered enterprise Asset Investment Planning and Management (AIPM) software, offering compelling capabilities. With its focus on enterprise asset management and service-centric industries, IFS can expect the Copperleaf acquisition to complement its portfolio of solutions and deliver more depth of functionality to customers.
Finally, Infor Nexus, the single-instance intelligent supply chain network platform, announced a new product to help companies map their multi-tier supply chains and provide evidence to support compliance with regulations. The new application called Map and Trace was co-developed with industry leader Burton Snowboards to help companies “connect the dots” between suppliers, their suppliers, and the transactional records supporting the chain of custody. Tools like Map and Trace will empower businesses with greater control and visibility into their supply chains, removing the guesswork from the process.
