Hi and welcome to episode 82 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.
This week, we saw a number of alternative application releases from Blackbaud, Microsoft, Salesforce, & UKG, bringing innovative solutions to users across the industry.
First, Blackbaud announced the general availability of a new expansive feature for Blackbaud TeamRaiser in the U.S. and Canada. Good Move is designed to help charitable organizations energize their constituents and raise more with mobile-first gamified activity-tracking and peer-to-peer fundraising experience, leveraging Kilter acquired by Blackbaud in late 2022. This is a valuable feature for Blackbaud users who will be able to further drive fundraising efforts in a fun, interactive environment.
Next, Microsoft announced that it is bringing its AI offerings to cybersecurity with the launch of Microsoft Security Copilot, a tool designed to quickly detect and respond to threats and better understand the threat landscape overall. As cybersecurity concerns rise, it is vital for advancements to come from major software vendors, like Microsoft, to combat these risks. Adding AI to mitigate cybersecurity risks will be the next step in protecting private information, if it is applied effectively.
Then, Salesforce announced new Automotive Cloud features to assist automotive companies in increasing productivity, revenue, and customer loyalty through immersive, in-car experiences powered by real-time personalization and building truly connected experiences. Automotive Cloud does so by utilizing Customer 360 to pair applications with out-of-the-box solutions containing industry-specific data models and processes. This will benefit automotive businesses everywhere looking to create great visibility into the lifecycle of their vehicles while also providing an even greater customer experience over a vehicle's lifetime.
Finally, UKG is helping organizations of all sizes and across all industries transform payday and empower their people to improve financial wellness with UKG Wallet, offering earned wage access, budgeting tools, financial literacy and counseling, and peer-to-peer payments. This offering is very empowering for UKG users because it truly looks at fulfilling the users’ needs, not just the organizations.
Overall, these solutions all provide unique value to customers not originally offered through out-of-the-box functionality. We hope to continue to see the vendors put focus on creating real, tangible value for users.
