Hi and welcome to episode 113 of The ERP Minute. I’m your host, Rebekah McCabe.

This week, Epicor announced it has acquired Elite EXTRA, a provider of cloud-based last-mile delivery solutions. The Elite EXTRA portfolio provides key benefits and features to customers, including an end-to-end logistics management solution for multiple logistics operations, an extensive delivery network, and functionality to reduce the cost of returns and accelerate the pickup, validation/authorization, and credit issuing process. This further exemplifies the need to simplify and improve the supply chain across industries, and Epicor is taking steps to improve processes for its customers.

In related news, Oracle added new mobile capabilities to Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management, part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). The new mobile capabilities include a PAR Management Workbench to see inventory levels across all locations, predict demand, and proactively manage replenishment, a Mobile PAR Counting App to help healthcare organizations manage PAR from any location, and a Last-Mile Logistics App to help improve the efficiency of logistics management, materials delivery, and restocking. These improvements will positively impact the healthcare industry, where organizations can improve visibility across the entire supply chain, ultimately delivering greater value to their patients.

In other news, Blackbaud kicked off its semi-annual Product Update briefings last week to showcase recent innovations and the future roadmap direction for Blackbaud’s suite of software solutions. Highlights include Raiser’s Edge NXT’s AI advancements, enhancements to Financial Edge NXT, online giving optimizations to now support Google Pay, a Credit Card Updater feature now available to all Blackbaud Merchant Services customers, its portfolio of corporate impact solutions, and more. Ultimately, these enhancements will empower nonprofits, educators, and others to do more for the communities they serve.

Then, Infor announced a new partnership with DailyPay, an industry leader in on-demand pay, to offer its customers the ability to seamlessly provide employees with easy and quick access to their earned wages. Through this partnership, customers using Infor Workforce Management solutions can provide hourly employees with same-day access to their pay, without disruptions and additional administrative tasks for payroll teams. With a number of economic factors at play, access to these kinds of services is more important than ever to hourly workers. Solutions like this will help Infor customers differentiate themselves when seeking to hire top talent.

Next, UKG announced a business update for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2023, ending September 30, 2023. Chris Todd, CEO at UKG, said, “We began the year with our first-ever $1 billion revenue quarter and closed out Q4 in remarkable fashion, including signing the most multimillion-dollar SaaS deals in our history.” This marks a major milestone for UKG, which continues to experience record-breaking growth.

Finally, in ERP philanthropic news, Salesforce announced it has surpassed its commitment to provide 500,000 upskilling opportunities to women as part of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Upskilling Initiative. Salesforce provided upskilling opportunities to women via Trailhead, its free online learning platform, ultimately delivering 3 million upskilling opportunities thus far. Initiatives like this improve economic opportunities for women in other countries to encourage sustainable, local growth. We applaud Salesforce and other vendors who apply their extensive resources to make a difference.
