Hi and welcome to episode 65 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

This week, Sage announced its full-year 2022 financial results, which ended September 30, 2022. Organic recurring revenue growth was 9%, underpinned by Sage Business Cloud’s growth of 24%. The organic operating margin also increased to 19.9%, with an underlying basic EPS growth of 8%.

These financial results demonstrate solid growth for Sage as it continues to expand its product offerings, specifically in the cloud. It will be vital for Sage to leverage its growth moving forward to continue to provide complementary solutions and product enhancements to keep up with the demand in the market.

In technical product enhancement news, the market saw significant releases from Microsoft, SAP, Deltek, Salesforce, and Qlik. All enhancements are aimed at providing specialized functionality to users.

First, Microsoft and Lockheed Martin announced the expansion of their strategic relationship to help power the next generation of technology for the Department of Defense (DOD). This agreement will span across four critical areas for the DOD, including classified cloud innovations, artificial intelligence/machine learning, modeling, & simulation capabilities, 5G. MIL programs, and digital transformation. At its heart, this collaboration will enable Lockheed Martin to work within the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud and assist Microsoft in safeguarding and enhancing typical business functionality and processes to secure the technology the DOD uses every day, including 5G capabilities and AI/ML.

Next, at the SAP TechEd conference, SAP announced the launch of SAP Build, a low-code solution that puts SAP’s enterprise technology in the hands of business users, giving them direct, secure access to the end-to-end processes, data, and context they need to make smarter decisions and drive innovation quickly. This release is significant in opening the world of ERP to smaller organizations and business users with minimal technical expertise, demonstrating the room for growth in the market that is expanding beyond historical boundaries.

Then, Deltek unveiled its latest product innovations, specifically Deltek Unionpoint, at Deltek ProjectCon. Deltek Unionpoint is an iPaaS solution based on Workato that is designed to make it easier for project-based businesses to automate processes for their projects. iPaaS solutions are great for businesses that rapidly expand and change because of the easy integration capabilities and access to a number of applications also built on the platform. It is clear that Deltek is devoted to not only delivering value within its own technology stack but also enabling users to create and craft their own, unique value.

Salesforce followed the tech trend with the introduction of a new Analytics Performance Bundle that will help companies consolidate their analytics tools to achieve success with an easy-to-use, self-service platform that saves costs and gives every employee the tools needed to gain real-time insights and make decisions quickly. This is the goal of Salesforce’s analytics bundle by providing easy-to-use technology that brings data together for efficient use.

Finally, Qlik recently enabled Qlik Cloud with enhanced encryption to securely host personal health information (PHI) subject to U.S. HIPPA requirements while completing its SOC Type 2 + HITRUST Attestation. This launch will help healthcare organizations to take full advantage of Qlik Cloud to enhance patient outcomes, improve service delivery, and close the gaps between data, insights, and actions.
