Hi and welcome to episode 55 of The ERP Minute. I am your host, Rebekah McCabe.

This week, Workday held its annual customer conference, Workday Rising, where it made a couple of major business announcements. First, Workday launched Industry Accelerators, the initial set of which will be targeted at helping banking, healthcare, insurance, and technology companies speed up their enterprise cloud transformation efforts. These initiatives will assist Workday customers in delivering even more innovation and purpose-built solutions through their finance, HR, planning, and supply chain operations transformations.

Workday then announced that Salesforce has expanded its use of Workday to support continued global growth. Salesforce has selected Workday Financial Management, Workday Accounting Center, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday Prism Analytics, building on its existing use of Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Recruiting, Workday Time Tracking, and Workday Payroll for the U.S. and Canada. This is all major news for Workday, demonstrating its continued growth in the ERP space.

In related news, Salesforce and NBCUniversal introduced “The Shift,” a new branded video series showing how seven high-growth organizations took on digital transformation during heavy market headwinds – and made it through. Organizations featured in the docuseries include OneUnited Bank, Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation, Enlightened, Pandora, Formula 1, Rocket Companies, and CarMax.

It is great to see Salesforce share stories from these major brands that could help a lot of companies tackle their own digital transformation projects. When faced with such a daunting task, it helps to learn from businesses that have conquered similar situations.
